8. Precautionary Principle

When the consequences of a given action are not fully understood, it is best to err on the side of caution.  This is called The Precautionary Principle and if so called “conservatives” were genuinely conservative, it would be the bedrock of their philosophy.  It is safe, prudent and truly conservative.  When looked at in the context of genuine, meaningful sustainability, so called “conservatives” are not conservative at all.  They are radical, cavalier and dangerous.
